Jennie Snow Christensen, my maternal great grandmother, wrote How Santa Was Caught in 1910 for her daughter Virginia to perform at a school Christmas program. The poem has become a family heirloom, and is still performed during the Christmas season. I published a special illustrated edition of the poem for my mother's 80th birthday. These images are sampled from that edition, with the text of the poem that belongs to each image shown in the lightbox view.
