Quicker is the story of an "ordinary hero", in this case an almost-was-great 55 year old 800 meter runner, who tries an experimental nerve drug. It makes him just a little bit quicker than everyone else, enhancing his athletics career. But unexpected complications follow, involving his beautiful daughter and her drug-rep boyfriend, the mob, and the drug's side effects.
